amarauderinrye:    Watchbell Street, which is difficult to describe since there are two parts to it. The longer stretch is a continuation of Church Square which ends at the Anchor Hotel, where a lovely view marks a curve in the cobblestone road that then becomes Trader’s Passage. Trader’s Passage ends on Mermaid Street, just beside the Oak Corner house.

These are the cobbled streets of Rye: Church Square, Watchbell Street, Trader’s Passage, Mermaid Street, West Street, and Pump Street; which all intersect with one another; and separated from the others by the paved Market Street and East Street is the cobbled Conduit Hill.
